With Vision for 2026, Galerie Karsten Greve presents an exhibition that brings together key artistic positions of the 20th and 21st centuries within a deliberate and concentrated framework. The presentation unites works by Joseph Beuys, Pierrette Bloch, Louise Bourgeois, John Chamberlain, Lovis Corinth, Louis Soutter, Lucio Fontana, Jannis Kounellis, Piero Manzoni, Pierre Soulages, Cy Twombly, Wols, and others.

The exhibition does not propose a survey, but a deliberate constellation. On view are works in which reduction, material, and gesture become carriers of existential experience. Line, surface, volume, and sign come to the fore, addressing fundamental questions of perception, the body, and meaning.

From the delicate works on paper and paintings by Wols, through the sculptural condensations of Chamberlain, Bourgeois, and Fontana, to the painterly propositions of Soulages and Corinth, the exhibition traces a broad temporal arc. Works by Beuys, Kounellis, Manzoni, and Twombly mark decisive moments of artistic reorientation, in which language, material, and pictorial space were radically rethought.

Vision for 2026 does not look toward the future in terms of trends, but rather emphasizes the enduring relevance of fundamental artistic questions. The exhibition presents art as an attitude—concentrated, resistant, and timeless.
